Confucius Institute

The Confucius Institute bases its name off the cultural house of the Popular Republic of China, which has 280 branches in more than 88 countries. In Peru there are four, including one at The University of Piura. The Confucius Institute-UDEP was created in 2007 through a signed agreement by Hanban headquarter in Beijing and the University of Piura, and it works in cooperation with the Capital Normal University in Beijing.
