César Azcárate Calle (Perú)
He has taught English as a Foreign Language for over 25 years. He was Academic Director of the ICPNA RG Binational Center and currently serves as a professor at the Faculty of Education – English Language Teaching Department at the University of Piura; tutor of the SEAD Program (Distance Education System) and at the English Language Center. He is the Cambridge Exams Manager at University of Piura and a Certified Speaking Examiner for Cambridge English Exams. He Azcarate holds a M.Ed. from the University of Piura and the Ibero-American University Foundation. He has a specialization in Educational Management from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru in 2003 and in Management for Executive Development from ESAN University in 2005. He also holds the Cert TESOL certification granted by Trinity College in Oxford, UK., holds the ECPE certificate from the University of Michigan, USA and the Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) from the University of Cambridge, UK.
David White (Australia)
After a career of more than 35 years of business in Australia, David settled permanently in Trujillo, Peru in 2001 where he has enjoyed a 15-year career as an English teacher. David, and his wife Claudia, were the founding directors of Centro De Idiomas Overseas, an institute in Trujillo that specialized in teacher training and international exam preparation. David has also worked as an Academic consultant in both Peru and Ecuador for several international book companies and distributors.
During his 15 years of experience teaching, David has taught Advanced English, ESP, methodology, academic writing and International Exam preparation for various prestigious institutions, schools and universities. David has also been a teacher trainer, mentor, conference presenter and coordinator.
Today, David is the Editor of “English Interactive” and “Creative games and challenges for the EFL classroom”, two social media sites dedicated to sharing grammar, vocabulary and methodology to teachers all around the world. David is also the Managing Director of English For You, a language institute in Trujillo dedicated to improving Advanced level English in Northern Peru.
Edison Santacruz (Ecuador)
He holds a BA degree in Applied Linguistics in Language Teaching from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador (PUCE) as well as a Master’s degree in University Teaching and Research from the same institution. Edison has been an English instructor, teacher, and professor for almost 30 years as he has worked at different levels in private primary, secondary schools and universities. He was the Head of the English Department at PUCE for about 7 years as well. Edison has taught Business English, Sociolinguistics and General English and has been a facilitator in different Teachers’ Conferences around Ecuador.
At present, he continues teaching EFL, and is in charge of tutoring and doing remedial work with students and coordinating English- Spanish exchanges with Jesuit universities in the US.
Elizabeth Ortiz (Ecuador)
Elizabeth is a freelance TEFL Consultant/Trainer and Certified Facilitator. She has presented workshops in Colombia, Costa Rica, Perú, Argentina, Venezuela, Mexico and all over Ecuador. For the last 14 years she has focused her Professional attention to develop and implement training and Professional Development Programs and the design of social interest projects with national and international non-profit organizations. During her professional life, Elizabeth has represented Ecuador in ELT Forums as an active member of the ELT and TESOL International Community She holds a MATESOL and Administration of Bilingual Programs, a TESOL and an OTA Certificate on ELT Management. She is also the Director of World English Institute-WE Institute, and a founding member and President of ECUATESOL, a brand new association of English Teachers in Ecuador.
Jaime Ancajima Alama (Perú)
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, has finished his studies of TEFL Master, holds the CPE Cambridge University Certificate and two TESOL Certificates he got in England and in Costa Rica. In 2013, he took a course on American Culture and Society at New York University.
He has given workshops in Peru, Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia, Spain and in Ecuador. He works at Universidad de Piura as the Teacher Trainer Unit coordinator and Professor at the Education School. He’s also a Speaking Examiner for Cambridge ESOL Exams.
Julio Valladares (Perú)
Julio Valladares, holds a Bacherlor’s degree in Education and his MA in TEFL. He has been a teacher of English for more than 28 years. He has worked for Británico, Santillana- Richmond, Camelot as teacher and teacher trainer; and is currently working for Universidad de Piura. He is in charge of the Academic area of the language school at Universidad de Piura – Campus Lima and also the academic coordinator of the MA in TEFL Programme offered by Universidad de Piura and Funiber.
Larissa Rico (Colombia)
She holds a Bachelor degree in Modern Languages from Quindío University, a Majoring in Translation from Autónoma University of Manizales and a Master Degree in Didactics at Caldas University. She has been teaching for about 18 years at the university level. She has been involved in projects developed by the Colombian Ministry of Education: STANDARDS, Teacher Development Programmes, BUNNY BONITA and My ABC English Kit. She is one of the writers of English, please! 1, 2, and 3 series (first and fast track version). She is a member of the Research group DEPROFES at Universidad del Quindío. She has written a book called: Insights about Teaching English as a Foreign Language. Finally, she has been conducting research projects regarding the use of platforms and Apps to improve the autonomous learning at the university level.
María Isabel Huaccho (Perú)
She is a highly experienced EFL teacher and teacher trainer who has worked for several prestigious institutions including schools, language centers and universities. In recent years, she has been focused on teaching adults and young adults. She has got a language teaching degree from IPNM and finished her master degree studies in TEFL at UDEP. She also holds the CPE, TKT and LCCI Business English Teaching certificates and a diploma as an E-Moderator from IH (2014).She’s currently working as a Business and General English teacher at ACPB .Her research interests focus on ELT Methodology, ESP and International Exams Preparation.
Olenka Villavicencio Carranza (Perú)
She holds a professional degree in Foreign Language Education and in Computer Sciences and a Master´s Degree in TEFL from Uneatlántico University, Spain. She is a highly experienced EFL, ESL, BE teacher who has worked with a wide variety of levels and students at prestigious universities and institutions such as USIL, UNIFE, UPAO, UNT, UCV, ADEX, ICPNA, Británico, etc. She also holds the FCE, TKT CLIL and LCCI CBET. She’s currently working as a Business and General English teacher for USIL and ADEX.
As well as teaching, she is also a Cambridge Speaking Examiner, a TESOL Convention speaker, an IATEFL-Peru LTSIG´s coordinator and an academic and IT freelance consultant. She has got her own business called Sifra Business Consulting. She frequently runs workshops and presentations on educational technology.
Siorella Gonzáles (Perú)
She has a Degree in Foreign languages from Universidad Nacional de Trujillo and a Diploma in “Higher Education”.
She has over 10 years’ experience as a teacher and as an FCE, CAE and ECPE teacher trainer. She has also been a Royal Caribbean Specialist and an official interpreter for “Orbis International”.
She works as a Thesis Advisor and FCE trainer at UCV and as an English teacher at UPAO University and Fleming College. She is also a Speaking Examiner for Cambridge University.
She has given workshops in Perú, Colombia, Brazil and Costa Rica.
