The program offers a unique opportunity to study in Lima, combining hours of theoretical classes, workshops and visits to get you immersed in the Gastronomic Capital of America.
Peru has a long tradition with its local food, and together with its rich biodiversity creates a spectacular cuisine, influenced by the native population and the immigrants from Europe, Asia and West Africa.
This course will explore the interaction between food and culture, and how the Peruvian cuisine has transformed the local economy. The internationalization of the Peruvian cuisine and their supplies will be analyzed, as well as the barriers and the challenges of the national spirit: Pisco.
The program is addressed to international students in areas related to business, international trade, tourism, culinary arts, and others interested in the topic. No pre requisites required. The program is taught in Spanish, consequently participants are requested to have at least an intermediate level of Spanish knowledge (B1).
