About the Project

The Universidad de Piura, within the framework of the development of Strategic Plan 2020-2025, is managing the implementation of the Horizon I Project, which proposes the implementation of Banner, an academic management system, provided by the company Ellucian, whose objective is to guarantee a digital change that contributes to improving the University's operations and projecting a more promising future.

Goals

  • Guarantee the integration of the technological ecosystem, automating the university management processes, eliminating manual transfers of information.
  • Toast students access to necessary information and campus services, through the use of modern solutions customized to each student's experience.
  • Promote the standardization of processes, which allow for better cross-disciplinary management in the university.

To present a best practices model to be applied to this process, which is enabled to cover the key requirements for generating charges in the student account, as well as for collecting payments, defining rules for their monitoring, control and application. Enabling the institution to export transactions to the accounting system, completing the operation and administration cycle, and providing the necessary information to meet the university's objectives and financial and fiscal obligations.
