ENERGY EFFICIENCY IN BUILDINGS IN DIFFERENT ENVIRONMENTAL CONTEXTS: PIURA (PERU) AND BURGOS (SPAIN)

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This COIL took shape in the execution of the Energy Efficiency in Buildings project in different environmental contexts: Piura, Peru and Burgos, Spain; a collaborative project carried out by students in the subjects Introduction to Architecture from the Udep and Master in Energy Efficiency from the UBA, where they analyzed technical aspects such as climatology, architectural design, materials and energy behavior in buildings located in both countries. The purpose of the methodology was the development of the students in the collaborative construction of knowledge around the analysis of architectural and energy aspects that responded to the specific context of each town of Burgos, in Spain, and Piura, in Peru.

The implementation of COIL has turned out to be an enriching and positive experience, which has allowed participants to share skills such as online communication and the use of technological tools in educational environments of different contexts, improving their
