Presentation

The University of Malaga or, according to its acronym, UMA, is a public university founded in 1972. The Faculty of Economics and Business Sciences and the Faculty of Medicine would be the first to form part of the global university that is today the University of Malaga.

50 years later, the UMA has more than 35,000 students, 59 Bachelor's degrees, 9 double degrees, 74 Master's degrees and 309 research groups. Likewise, entrepreneurship is another pillar of the university offer, which is why the international organization ACEEU has awarded it the 'Entrepreneurial University' seal in 2021, the first Spanish academic institution to achieve it.

Currently, the University of Malaga continues to support scientific development and innovation as a way to bring progress to society as a whole. What stands out in these years is the promotion of mobility and the effort to attract international talent, achieving an open, cosmopolitan university capable of integrating into top-level scientific projects.
