About the program
Who can apply?
The program is open to UDEP students who are currently enrolled in their last year of studies or who have completed their degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering with a bachelor's degree during the last 3 years of each call.
What benefits does the program have?
Students and high school graduates will be eligible to validate up to nine UDEP credits of courses approved at the IIS undergraduate level, to obtain the title of Master of Science in Technology from UNI.
How long does it take to complete the program and what modalities exist?
For UDEP students who manage to transfer nine credit hours to the Master of Technology program, they will be able to complete the program in just three semesters.
Can I take virtual classes?
UNI has made available a viable option for students to complete their first virtual semester of the UNI Master of Technology. Students, who decide, can also choose to enroll in person for all semesters of courses at UNI.
Can I improve my English before starting the master's degree?
Students interested in improving their English before starting their master's degree will be able to access half a scholarship from the Culture and Intensive English Program, which can be taken online or in person.
How is the selection process?
The director of the IIS academic programs (Lima or Piura) will carry out the internal selection among interested students, so that direct advice can be initiated with UNI for their application. The documents required for the application will be sent to the University of Northern Iowa and are the responsibility of the interested student.
What is the UNI application process like?
In general terms, those interested must complete an application form, send their educational certificates in English and have proficiency in the English language certified with one of the certificates: TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, etc. Information about the process at: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) | Admissions & Aid (uni.edu)
The process will be accompanied by the UNI International Admissions Directorate.
