IC • Piura Campus. Federico Santa María Technical University, Valparaíso Chile 2019-II.

An enriching experience, studying at the Federico Santa María Technical University in the city of Valparaíso in Chile, allowed me to acquire new knowledge, soft skills and a new perspective about the world, since I met people from different countries and enjoyed a new culture and places. In addition, it allowed me to value my country more and indeed, Peru has a lot to improve, yes, but there is also much more to be proud of.
I encourage everyone to dare to carry out experiences of this type, which will allow them to grow both personally and professionally in their lives.

Economy • Piura Campus. Carlos III University of Madrid- Spain, 2019-I.

My experience at the Carlos III University of Madrid has been excellent. All the teachers have been very good and motivated us to continue investigating the topics of our interest, always being open to questions and different points of view. The demands of the university and the foundation acquired at UDEP, especially in the econometrics courses, have allowed me to take the courses with confidence and tranquility.

The teaching method of continuous evaluation allows students to generally be attentive throughout the semester and to better consolidate knowledge. With nearly 1,200 exchange students at UC3M, student life is a constant learning experience because you meet people from all over the world, you can practice and learn languages such as Turkish or Portuguese with your new friends, and learn completely new customs.

Security in Madrid is very good and cultural life is versatile. If you are a student, you can enter many museums or exhibitions for free.

EC • Lima Campus. University of British Columbia. Vancouver-Canada 2019-II.

At UBC teaching is of a high standard. The teachers are very well prepared and are generally good pedagogues. The classrooms are very well equipped and have the shape of a classic North American university classroom in the shape of an amphitheater. The energy that the students have makes the academic experience quite pleasant as well, everyone is always eager to learn and change the world. Learning in another language helped me a lot to improve my spoken and written English. The academic load of 4 courses is the perfect amount to perform well and enjoy the exchange.

The experience was very enriching in the educational and experiential aspect. Experiencing what it is like to study at one of the best universities in the world and being able to learn about other perspectives and ways of approaching Economics was quite positive. Likewise, the experience of living with roommates from other parts of the world and on a campus with an unimaginable amount of activities to do was very exciting. On the other hand, Vancouver being a very diverse city and UBC in particular being one of the universities with the greatest diversity of students in the world, being able to learn much more about other cultures and ways of living gave great added value to the experience.

AD • Lima Campus, HFU, Furtwangen, Germany 2019-I.

All teachers are highly qualified to teach the subjects, and are usually quite didactic. The registration process is very different from what many of us are in, although with the help of my coordinator I was able to resolve my doubts. The registration system upon arrival allows you to have a better idea of the courses to be validated, most of them elective courses. They are those that are most similar to those offered by the University of Piura and these are published a week before the trip. On the other hand, the subjects at HFU have a flexible schedule. My personal experience has been very positive, I have managed to become a more independent person throughout my exchange, meet many incredible people from different parts of the world, which opens many doors for me for the future. The maturity that one gains during the exchange period is incredible and it is something that has served me well.

Germany is a modern country where most, if not everything, works perfectly, procedures, transportation, facilities, etc., especially the university facilities are comfortable. As for the people, the majority speak English and are very friendly, so if you have questions, do not hesitate to ask anyone.

The maturity that one gains during the exchange period is incredible and it is something that has served me well.

ADS • Lima Campus. FH Joanneum, Graz-Austria. Ernst Mach Scholarship, 2019-II.

Definitely studying in another country is quite a challenge, starting because you have to learn to organize yourself, it has been an incredible experience. At first I thought that my biggest obstacle would be the language, but as the semester went by I realized that the language worked in my favor, it was not as difficult as I thought and studying in English helped me improve my language skills. The methodology is different. Each teacher chooses how to evaluate their students. For example, I had a teacher who after each class assigned us to do an essay on the analyzed paper, in addition to class participation having a greater weight than the essays. Another teacher did not take any exam, but gave us group work throughout the semester, which helps the student learn to work better in a group.
I really liked the FH facilities, it was very modern and suitable for the races it offered. I had a very pleasant university life throughout the semester; Most of my classmates lived in the same place as me, so we would get together to study or advance work assigned to us.
