In-Person Exchange
The regular exchange is aimed at undergraduate students of all majors, it allows the student to take one or two semesters (non-consecutive) abroad, at one of our partner universities and then validate the courses upon returning to the country. Tuition and monthly payment are paid at UDEP. If you are a scholarship recipient, the conditions of your scholarship are maintained.
You must cover the costs of visa processing, transfer, insurance and stay.

Apply for an exchange
Who can apply?
You can apply if you meet:
- Be a regular student of the University of Piura at the time of application and during the exchange.
- Be enrolled in the fifth cycle and have credits to validate at the time of application.
- Have a cumulative index greater than 12.
- Meet the required level of the language of instruction at the chosen university.
- Not having a current disciplinary sanction registered.
- Not have debts for academic or other pensions.
How is the proccess?
At UDEP:

- Apply here. Choose two universities from the available list. Previously review the mesh of each university and the academic course offering for the semester of your interest. Apply here
- Communication of results, you will be assigned one of the two options.
At the partner university:
- Nomination
- Registration and application for courses at the assigned university.
- Arrival of the acceptance letter, 3 to 4 weeks after your registration. For more details see application guide

When to apply?
- From January 7 to March 8 (semester II)
- From June 8 to August 8 (semester I)
When will the interview be?
- From March 16 to 23 (semester II)
- From August 16 to 27 (semester I)
When are the results received?
An email will arrive with the name of the university that has been assigned to you.
- From April 12 to 16 (semester II)
- From September 17 to 25 (semester I)

What documents to present?

- Motivation letter.
- Curriculum vitae.

- Certificate of English language proficiency: if it is a non-Spanish speaking university, it is recommended to have a certificate of international validity.
- Copy of passport.
Before your departure
Do you have everything ready for the exchange?
If you have already received the acceptance letter from the destination university, it's time to manage:
The visa, for which you must review the “student visa” section on the website of the embassy of the destination country, there you will find the instructions and the list of documents that you must present.
The purchase of travel insurance is mandatory, it must have international coverage and be valid for the entire period of your stay, buy it at a travel or insurance agency in Peru; In some cases the host university can recommend one to you. It must be valid both in the country where you will study and in any other country you have planned to visit.
Accommodation: with In the acceptance letter you will receive a list of places recommended by the university of destiny, you can too directly contact the services of other accommodations that friends and family have recommended to you.

How do I validate the courses taken during the exchange?
