Presentation
It was founded in 1959, becoming the first Higher Education institution created in the La Araucanía Region. It began offering Pedagogy courses, positioning itself as the great teacher training institution for the southern part of the country.
At the beginning of the nineties, the creation of the Catholic University of Temuco as an autonomous university was made official. Currently, it is considered one of the most important universities in the ninth region, achieving a high standard and academic excellence in the training of professionals. University Accredited by the National Accreditation Commission, it has a wide educational offer organized in 7 faculties, 1 School of Health Sciences, 1 Institute of Theological Studies and the Baccalaureate in Sciences and Humanities.
