Peru is a developing country, located in the western part of South America surrounded by Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, Bolivia and Chile.
In the last 25 years, Peru has stabilized and consolidated its economy. Peru is recognized as one of the most
promising economies in the world.
According to the World Economic Forum, Peru is one of the countries with the world’s most business friendly environments and ranks among the top 21 in the macroeconomic environment pillar.
The economy of Peru is largely dependent on agriculture, shing, mining, and manufacturing of products like textiles. As an economy in growth, it is one of the seventh largest economies in Latin America, however still has a long way to go towards modernization and competitiveness of its industries and services.
The program offers a global vision about the economic policies in the country and the region, as well as the development of local business and its impact in the country.
Participants will have the opportunity to develop a deep understanding through seminars dictated in English or Spanish and complement each class with an immersion activity visiting local businesses or institutions.
The program is addressed to international students in areas related to business, international trade, economics, and others interested in the topic. No pre requisites required.
